Nissan X-Trail  

Nissan has announced it will be showing an X-Trail Clean Diesel model at the 2008 Integrated Exhibition of the Environment in Hokkaido*1 (June 19-21) as well at the G8 Hokkaido Toyako Summit (July 7-9).



The X-Trail uses a M9R diesel engine, which was co-developed with Alliance-partner Renault, and uses advanced technologies to deliver high torque and powerful acceleration, in addition to improved fuel-economy while meeting the new regulatory Japanese emission standards, referred to as ‘‘Post New Long-term Regulations’’.


The X-Trail Clean Diesel hits the market in September of this year, well ahead of the new emissions regulations which go into effect by October, 2009.




Based on the M9R diesel engine co-developed with Alliance-partner Renault, the Nissan version on the X-TRAIL employs advanced technologies to deliver high torque and powerful acceleration, in addition to improved fuel-economy while meeting the demands for cleaner emission standards globally.Nissan
