Honda Acura TL 2011

Engine
3.7-liter VTEC V-6 Engine Standard Feature
With its remarkable combination of power, efficiency and refinement, the RL offers one of the most sophisticated V-6 engines in its class.
The 3.7-liter, VTEC® V-6 delivers 300 horsepower and 270 lbs.-ft. of torque.
Variable Valve Timing and Electronic lift Control (VTEC) increases high-rpm horsepower by opening the intake valves deeper and longer when engine speed reaches a designated rpm.
EPA estimated mileage2 is 17 city / 24 hwy, which combined with a 21-gallon fuel capacity, gives the RL the potential for attaining a 400-mile or more cruising range.
The Drive-by-Wire™ throttle system varies throttle sensitivity to provide the appropriate throttle response and feel to different driving conditions.
Lightweight magnesium-alloy cylinder head covers with hardened aluminum cylinder sleeves help improve vehicle balance and the power-to-weight ratio.
A forged crankshaft results in lower weight and increased strength.
A high-flow exhaust system increases the engine’s power efficiency.

Sequential SportShift Automatic with Paddle Shifters Standard Feature

New for 2011, the RL 6-speed Sequential SportShift automatic with paddle shifters gives you the best of both worlds with precise, intuitive automatic shifting and shift-for-yourself control.

Set the transmission to “Drive” for smooth gear changes with an emphasis on fuel economy. Select “Sport“ for quicker acceleration, as the transmission allows the engine to rev higher before upshifting.
Tapping a paddle shifter while in “Drive” brings a quick gear change with automatic operation returning when reaching a steady speed. This allows you to make quick gear changes without changing in and out of manual mode.
Using a paddle shifter in “Sport” puts the transmission into full manual mode, where you’ll have complete control in instances such as high-performance or hilly driving.
For better climbing or increased downhill engine braking, Grade Logic Control instructs the transmission to hold a lower gear when encountering a steep uphill or downhill grade.
To avoid disrupting the chassis or power delivery, Shift Hold Control will delay upshifting as you accelerate through a curve.
Voice Recognition Standard Feature

The Voice Recognition feature allows you to perform the most frequently used functions of the audio, climate control, and when equipped, navigation system, without ever taking your hands off the wheel.

With a simple click of the “Talk” steering wheel-mounted control, the audio system will instantly mute as you issue one of over 600 voice commands to the audio, climate or navigation systems.
Some commands can replace multiple manual functions. For example: “CD 3, song 4” will turn on the audio system, select the third CD, and play the fourth song.
You can enter a specific address, as the navigation system will recognize over a million city and street names.
Super Handling All-Wheel Drive Standard Feature
Though it has the same all-weather attributes of conventional all-wheel drive, Acura developed its revolutionary Super Handling All-Wheel Drive™ (SH-AWD®) system to enhance high-performance dry-road handling. By continuously directing engine power to match weight distribution, available traction, and other conditions, SH-AWD provides seamless power transitions and supreme agility. The result is enhanced high-performance cornering that simply can't be matched by front, rear, or conventional all-wheel drive systems.

The system continuously determines the optimal level of power distribution between the front and rear wheels, and also between the rear wheels based on an analysis of wheel speed, steering angle, lateral G-force and yaw rate.
For better fuel economy, up to 90% of the power is sent to the front wheels when cruising in a straight line.
As weight shifts to the rear of the RL during hard straight-line acceleration, the SH-AWD system transfers up to 45% of engine power to the rear wheels to take advantage of available rear-wheel traction.
In a curve under hard acceleration, 70% of torque can be directed to the rear—all of which can go to the outside wheel to improve cornering by directing power where weight has shifted.
For greater stability in a fast curve, the combination of power shifting to the outside wheel and about 6% greater wheel speed causes the RL to rotate into the turn, significantly reducing understeer.

VW The new Golf TSI

Higher efficiency, lower emissions
Imagine this: The Golf 1.4 TSI hits a top speed of 220 km/h and a 0-100 km/h acceleration of 8 seconds, in spite of the new efficiency benchmarks set by the state-of-the-art single-charged TSI power plants. What makes it all possible is the celebrated 7-speed DSG dual-clutch gearbox and consumption figures of 1 litres for 16 km, which significantly cut CO2 emissions.

Best in safety and protection
Top marks go to the comprehensive system of road protection, with 7 airbags, the innovative front whiplash-optimised head restraint system (WOKS), ISOFIX mounting points, and ESP with comfort brake assistant and steering impulse. It’s no wonder the Euro NCAP safety ratings gave the Golf the maximum of five stars in score. The Golf was also voted World Car of the Year 2009.

Stronger design aesthetics
Stand back and be inspired by the Golf’s “tornado” line, expressed through the wider and lower silhouette and its accentuated angles and curves. Check out the details: The high-gloss radiator grill and striking headlights are sleeker to the eye, while the body-coloured bumper, twin exhaust tailpipes, and tailgate with integrated spoiler add to a very sporty rear. Exclusive design features, chrome accents, superior materials and classy trims are part of the Golf’s new line structures, conveying high value and sports consciousness all round.

Exclusive interior ambience
Enjoy the classy interior of the Golf Highline. Fine applications in chrome look adorn the electric windows and mirror adjustment switches. The front sport seats with Alcantara upholstery and lumbar support coupled with the front centre armrest provide for perfect comfort. The steering wheel, gear lever knob and handbrake grip are clad in leather to compliment the matt chrome decor. Moreover, there are elegant reading lamps in both the front and the rear.

The New Peugeot 207

The 207 is the successor to the 206. The 207 is based on a modified version of the platform used for the Citroën C3, and is built in Poissy and a new plant near Trnava, Slovakia.

Initially three petrol engines were available:
1.4-litre 8v with 75 or 16v 90 hp (67 kW) and 1.6-litre 16v with 110 bhp (82 kW; 112 PS).
From late 2006, the 1.4 & 1.6 16v models were replaced by the new 1.4 vti 95 bhp (71 kW; 96 PS) and 1.6 vti a 120 bhp (89 kW; 122 PS) Valvetronic engines.
Two turbocharged and intercooled versions, one with 150 bhp (112 kW; 152 PS), and the other with 175 bhp (130 kW; 177 PS) were also added to the range.
The latter four engines result from the cooperation agreement between PSA and the BMW group; and can also be found in the Mini Cooper S. The diesel-powered engines available are a 1.4 litre 70 hp (52 kW) or a 1.6 litre HDi with maximum output of 90 or 110 hp (82 kW), the latter with the addition of an intercooler.

The 207 is available
as a three- or five-door hatchback,
a 207 SW Station Wagon and a 207 CC coupé convertible.
A GTI (or RC in some markets) version is available with the THP175 175 hp (130 kW) turbocharged 1.6 litre engine.
A GT (or Limitee) version is also available, but is only sold with the THP150 150 hp (110 kW) turbocharged 1.6 litre engine, and also features a glass roof.
Both the GTI and GT versions are sold exclusively with manual gearboxes.

Carried over from the 207 RC, the interior received grinium finish decor with front and rear bucket seats as well as RC front and rear mat covers. The steering wheel too, with a granium finish ring and numbered from 1 to 2000. The gearshift lever knob, pedal assembly, foot rest and door sill are in aluminium.

Three engines were available with the 207 Le Mans Series. Starting with the 1.6 HDi 16v 110 hp DPFS and 1.6 THP150 16v 150 hp engines each of which receive a chrome-plated single exhaust pipe. The top 1.6 THP175 16v 175 hp receives a chrome-plated dual exhaust pipe.

It has sold well in Britain, being the sixth best selling car overall (and third in the supermini sector) in 2007 with more than 67,000 examples being sold.

Nissan Juke : The Urban Energy

The Juke, Nissan's new addition to its Crossover range, combines SUV toughness and sporty style. Its design is bold and striking on order to inject some masculinity and dynamism into the small car market, something that Nissan's research shows that small car buyers believe is lacking at the moment. Indeed, Nissan anticipates 80 per cent of Juke buyers will be buying a Nissan for the first time, a target it achieved and continues to maintain with Qashqai.

From a design standpoint, the lower portion of Juke is pure SUV. It combines chunky wheels, wide tyres, extended ground clearance and a robust stance with a top portion that is unadulterated sports car, with a high waistline, slim visor-like side glass graphics and a coupé-style falling roofline. The coupé effect is further underlined by the rear doors which have their handles hidden in the frame of the door.

Inside, the sports car theme continues with a cockpit oriented cabin dominated by a centre console design inspired by a motorcycle fuel tank. Finished in a distinctive high gloss colour - metallic red or grey - the ‘bike' console adds a sense of fun to the car. Practicality is assured by the rear-opening hatch, versatile luggage area with flat folding rear seats and hidden storage opportunities.

The ALL MODE 4x4-i, is a new development of Nissan's respected electronic all-wheel drive system and now features rear wheel torque-vectoring technology to enhance agility and reduce understeer when cornering, delivering agile, fun-to-drive handling.

Three different engines will be available when sales start later in the year: one diesel and two 1.6-litre petrol units, all fully Euro 5 compliant. At the top of the range is a new turbocharged petrol engine (MR16DDT) with direct injection (DIG-T). The engine is one of the most powerful in its class, developing 190PS and
240 Nm.

The second petrol engine develops 86kW (117 PS), while the the 81kW (110PS) 1.5-litre dCi common rail diesel offers excellent driveability - thanks to its heady 240 Nm of torque.

Engine range:

1.6i 117PS Petrol 2wd 5-speed manual
1.6i 117PS Petrol 2wd New Generation XTRONIC CVT

Chevrolet Volt

It's just one of the many good things Motor Trend magazine had to say about the all-new Chevrolet Volt as it named the car the "2011 Motor Trend Car of the Year®." The annual award is one of the most prestigious honors bestowed in the auto industry and further proof that it's a new day for Chevrolet, not to mention the entire auto industry. Powered by electricity without being tethered to electrical outlets, the Volt does everything a great car does and, according to Motor Trend, better than any other. It's further proof that today, tomorrow and on into the future, Chevy Runs Deep.

Say hello to the Volt, Chevrolet's new electric vehicle that can use gas (but only if you need to). The Volt will take you wherever you need to go whether it's to the corner store or a long-distance road trip. Check out the video to get an overview of the Volt from the minds behind its creation.

Exterior
Thoughtful efficiency

By its very nature, the all-new Volt is engineered to change the face of transportation as we know it. Nearly every component of the Volt has been selected to get the most out of every charge, including:

* Aerodynamics that maximize the distance per charge and miles per gallon of fuel
* A closed grille and aerodynamic back edges contribute to its fuel efficiency(9)
* Energy-efficient Bose® Sound System
* Goodyear Assurance Fuel Max tires

Interior
The dashboard re-imagined

Volt has two LCD screens that display speed, battery power, range to recharge or re-fill as well as an efficiency gauge that gives you real-time feedback. On the center console you'll find a seven-inch diagonal high-resolution screen with touch-sensitive control that helps you get the most out of your Volt.

PERFORMANCE
More power from a superior battery
The Volt battery has gone through numerous environment-specific tests, including corrosion and hot- and cold-weather testing and the results were so promising that the 16-kWh lithium-ion battery pack is backed by an 100,000 mile/8-year warranty(3).
Here are a few more notes on the battery:

* Just plug it in to charge the battery, and most people can commute gas-free and tailpipe emissions-free for about $1.50 of electricity per day.
* A small, quiet on-board gas generator creates electricity that powers your Volt as you drive for hundreds of miles on battery and gas power.
* Lithium-ion cells outperform nickel metal hydride cells (found in today's hybrids) in terms of life cycle
* A liquid thermal cooling and heating system keeps the battery at a comfortable temperature as it's being charged and discharged

Making the future safer

Volt drivers and passengers will be wrapped in a cocoon of standard safety. With eight air bags(7) ready to deploy in an emergency, it's obvious safety is of the highest priority. Joining this built-in safety is an unprecedented five-year subscription to OnStar's®(12) Directions and Connections® Plan including Automatic Crash Response. In the event of a collision, built-in sensors can automatically alert an OnStar Advisor, who is immediately connected into your vehicle to see if you need help sent to your exact location — even if you can't respond.

TECHNOLOGY
Pick your mode

The Volt has been programmed with three unique driving modes to accommodate different driving styles. Normal mode is the most efficient setting that takes the electricity and focuses it on operating the electric drive. Sport mode sacrifices a small amount of efficiency for more responsive acceleration, and Mountain mode makes sure the battery has a bigger energy reserve for driving up long, steep inclines.

Volt Mobile App

Anywhere you get a signal on your smartphone, you can have total control of your Volt. Tap away and, with the OnStar mobile app(12), you'll be able to check the battery charge level, available range, tire pressure, remote lock and unlock and even activate the remote start to heat or cool the interior to your preferred temperature. Navigate the interactive screens of the app, and you can change how and when you want your Volt to charge. You can even set up Alerts via text or email to remind you to plug in your Volt, when charging is complete or if charging has been interrupted. The app also provides a single button to access a Volt Customer Advisor who can answer vehicle specific questions.
